Amy Meredith are excited to announce details of their headline RESTLESS TOUR, after what has an been an incredible start to 2010. The tour takes in 18 dates across Australia this September and October, and comes off the back of huge chart success with their smash hit single Lying and debut album Restless.

Furthermore, fans have even more reason to be excited - Young At Heart, the song that has sent fans into an online frenzy since they got their hands on the album, is heading out to radio next week.

The band released their debut album Restless last week, where it debuted on the national ARIA charts at #8, following Lying smashing into the Top Ten of the ARIA singles chart. They will soon be supporting Aussie rockers Grinspoon around the country, before heading out as headliners on their own tour to take their tunes to the masses.

Off the back of the two smash hit singles, Lying and Pornstar, Restless has been backed up with live appearances on ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’, the State of Origin, and ‘Sunrise’, followed by gigs from Perth to Brisbane and everywhere in between. The band have toured non-stop for the past 12 months, scoring massive support slots with the likes of Cobra Starship, Stereophonics and Good Charlotte.

The journey to album release has been a long one for the Sydney 5 piece; they have spent the last 3 years gearing up for this moment and they are going to enjoy every second of its success when they head out on the road.

LITTLE RED - MIDNIGHT REMEMBER TOUR

Venue: Settlers Tavern

Contact Details:

Melbourne’s Little Red have announced a massive headline tour in support of their forthcoming new album Midnight Remember.

The sophomore album’s undeniable lead single Rock It has already taken the nation’s airwaves by storm and anticipation for this next chapter in the Little Red story is sky high. Underpinned by a sly disco bass hook and spry piano, Rock It mimics the experience of the summer nights that you don’t want to let go of, even when night turns to day. It has become the band’s most successful single to date and is already being mentioned in media circles as one of the singles of the year.

Produced by Scott Horscroft (Panics, The Presets), Midnight Remember’s collection of tunes still drip with energy and heart-on-the-floor honesty in true Little Red style, but there is also an undeniable technical jump into a hyperspace that takes the band well into the modern age. You are as likely to hear echoes of Phoenix to The Pogues, early U2 to MGMT, with lashings of Bob Dylan and his erudite prose seeping through. Midnight Remember is unquestionably a quantum leap in songwriting and production. That is not to denigrate the band’s scorching 2008 debut album Listen to Little Red – a landmark debut record that crashed the ARIA Top 30, spawned radio singles Coca Cola, Witchdoctor and Misty I,  made countless critics’ Album of the Year listings and catapulted the band from the backblocks of Melbourne to a must-have fixture on any major music festival in Australia and sold out headline tours around the country.

Accompanying Little Red on this 'Midnight Remember' tour will be special guests Sparkadia. Sparkadia are poised to release the first single of the new album, “Talking Like I’m Falling Down Stairs” and return to Australian stages, as guests of Little Red, for the first time since their sold out Auf weidersehen tour in April 2009. “Talking Like I’m Falling Down Stairs” is, in typical Sparkadia form, a melody and hook ridden excursion into ‘odd pop’, and one that teases and harkens to a coming record brimming with excitement.

Plus: Nicolas Roy piano based indie pop songwriter with the  2010 JJJ play listed song “It’s All My Fault”,

It’s been a hell of a ride since The Audreys first took their trademark roots/alt/country sound out of the studio and onto stages in 2006. Their 2 albums “Between Last Night and Us” and “When The Flood Comes” both took out the ARIA for Best Blues and Roots album giving them a strike rate the envy of many a musician.

The Audreys will be taking “Sometimes The Stars” on the road playing all states and many regional areas across Australia throughout October, November and into December. It’s been over 2 years since Australia has seen the band playing many of these cities and towns, and with a new touring band backing Taasha and Tristan, these are shows not to miss.

Joining The Audreys as their special guest support at all shows, except those noted below*, will be piano based indie pop songwriter Nicolas Roy. Nicolas burst on the radar in 2010 with the JJJ play listed song “It’s All My Fault”, and will be releasing his debut album to coincide with this national tour.

Leeuwin Estate is delighted to present Roxy Music, with the band based around the classic line-up of vocalist Bryan Ferry, guitarist Phil Manzanera, saxophonist Andy Mackay and the great Paul Thompson on drums, to perform the 2011 Leeuwin Concerts.

Renowned for their potent cocktail of fashion, romance, nostalgia and futurism, Roxy left a massive footprint on British popular culture with classic hits including Dance Away, Avalon, Let’s Stick Together, Do the Strand, Angel Eyes, Oh Yeah (On the Radio, In the Midnight Hour, Jealous guy and More Than This.

Roxy Music formed in 1971 and their ‘72 self-titled debut album, declared by many as the best first album ever, cleared the path for a saunter into the UK top five by the ravishingly stylish first single ‘Virginia Plain’. Before the year ended Roxy had completed their opening tours of both the UK and US.

Almost everything that Roxy achieved during the next decade, including seven more studio albums, has become part of the fabric of rock history, from  singles like ‘Pyjamarama’, Street Life’ and ‘Love Is The Drug’ to Bryan Ferry’s ever-influential wardrobe and those legendary album covers. They topped the album charts with 1973’s ‘Stranded’, 1980’s ‘Flesh and Blood’ and their last studio album ‘Avalon’, and it wasn’t long before the compilation album ‘Street Life’ raced to No.1 in 1986 and stayed there five weeks. They disbanded while still at the top of their game.

The remastered and critically acclaimed reappearance of the entire Roxy catalogue in 2000 preceded the reunited Roxy Music 2001 World Tour which confirmed that the legacy had only appreciated with time.  Critics were unanimous in their unequivocal praise: “literally inimitable”, “consistently cited as influential by modern heroes”, “the experience is more like re-reading a good book”, “...received an ecstatic response from the crowd”, “Roxy Music surprising us again.” Bryan Ferry’s 1999 solo album “As Time Goes By’ gained significant recognition with a Grammy 2001 nomination.

Guests are invited to stay after the main performance and enjoy the party atmosphere and dancing to the post concert entertainment!
